    1. What possible reason could there be for this to need to be connected to the internet at all?

    2. AWS being down was the Gen Z equivalent of a Twilight Zone episode

    3. Oh no! You might have to drink TAP WATER like a Poor.

    4. Everything about this is insane. I’m never getting a damn ‘smart’ gadget in my life. I’m due to move into my first house this year and reckon the only thing connected to the Internet is my PC.

    5. Who buys something like this? Just get a normal water filter or cooler. The more people buy crap like this, the more it encourages them to make everything “smart”.

    6. I love computers and technology. I’m even a web developer. Some things simply should not connect to the internet. For example: Water purifiers. Beds???

What I find most interesting is you wasted money buying a needlessly ‘smart’ device. Why in gods name does something that is purely mechanical need an internet connection?

    8. Yeah my Alexa plug was also down and I couldn’t turn on my coffee out from the app. That was some real first world problem.

    9. I haye smart appliances that don’t have an off-line mode easily able to be switched to.

The problem isn’t that it’s connected, it’s that the connection is required to function.
